According to my research in the internet (specifically in Wikepedia), media lots of aspects. There is the Recording media, which are devices used to store information. Print media, communications delivered via paper or canvas. Electronic media, comminications delivered via electronic or electromechanical energy. And several others which are absolutely boring to discuss. The question is how do I understand media. How do I understand MEDIA?

Well if you ask me that question I won't answer you directly. It's funny to say that eventhough I took Communication Arts, I don't know what media means. I would say that media is........an art!!! It is an art, right? Art requires skill and passion. Media does too.

Movies are part of media and people make them with passion. That's my principle. Make movies with PASSION. When I was a kid (up to now), one of the things I want to be when I grow up is to be a director. Then I can make the movies I want. See, back then i never thought how much money is used to make movies. Some of my ideas back then was to make a movie of scooby doo with real life actors. But those bastards stole my idea! (just kidding about the stealing issue, but really, honestly, truly! I had an idea like that!) At present, my ideas include making a GUNDAM movie. I want to show the audience the different philosophies of war and its effect to us, the reflection of each character to war. It's mainly about war. It's not obvious, isn't it? I have lots of stories I want to share with the world either through or novels. I realize that movies today, lose the essence of a good story. I mean, transformers, right? The special effects are quite breath taking, I know. (TWO THUMBS UP!!!!- Kevin-just a student-whose just kidding) But I don't quite understand the story. And I'm telling you this not just because I didn't get to watch the first ten minutes of the film. Music & Lyrics, now that's a good film! Good story, good soundtrack, good casts. NO NEED for special effects. What about movies here in the Philippines? I know that movies with special effects are in today but try not to make one if a flying scene is done with a man attached to a wire in his back and in front of a blue or green screen. Then edit it with a crappy background. I mean, they are so last TWO DECADES!!! Why don't we try movies with a good story-and original. Not those dramas again with a poor innocent-looking girl and a handsome wealthy bachelor. or action movies where the last scene in the movie was done in an old abandoned warehouse and with cops arresting the criminals and not the good guys although both were being violent. Let's try something new for a change. Like-a powerful dictator who once fell in love with the same sex. Somethimg with a twist in the story-and unique. If only we would focus on improving our ideas into making good movies with good stories instead of leveling with hollywood, which tecno's second to none, the price of an admission ticket for a local film-satisfying.

News, what about news? they're part of media too, right? See, the thing I hate abou news is the celebrity news. Who needs to know or what importance is to know how one celebrity feels about playing baseball or celebrity affairs. I feel like it's just a waste of time, effort and money. and those celebrities, aren't they humans too? We should respect they're privacy. I remember the death of princess Diana. I mean, how she died-it;s too cruel. and those paparazzi-wish they would go to HELL!!!

And those reality tv shows like PBB, part of media too. Although I hate that show It's like watching a retreat. and i hate retreats. How you don't get to watch tv, use your cellphones, your always being scheduled, making you do all these stupid things. It's ninety five percent retreat except for the cameras all over the house. Not to mention the MILLIONS of PEOPLE watching you from all over the WORLD. NO big deal to you, right? Me, just won;t like it. NEVER!!!!

throughout the years, media has changed-a lot! From ordinary and conventional tv game shows to the everchanging game of game ka na ba. From those romantic, black and white films of Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney to the colorful and sophisticated universe of Star Wars. From celebrity news to annoying paparazzi works. Media still influences us and continue to its work of inspiring us and connecting us from different people around the globe.
